Tahini Honey Butter


This is a perfect alternative to icing on a cake. If, like me, you don’t reach for the icing sugar these days, you may still like to have something sweet on top of your muffin. This tahini honey butter works really well on my Banana Apple White Chocolate Cake. I also use that same cake recipe to make muffins or mini bundt cakes. Whether you spread, smear or pipe this onto you bread, muffins or cakes, it is super creamy and delicious and just adds the touch of something to round off and enhance the flavours. A little goes a long way, but if you feel you need more then double up the recipe and keep in the fridge to use on toast. A really quick breakfast is sliced banana on toast with a spread or dollop of this butter. 😋

Tahini Honey Butter


  • 100 g butter Unsalted
  • 50 g tahini
  • 50 g honey
  • pinch salt


  • Add butter to a bowl and beat until light and fluffy
  • Add tahini, honey and salt and beat until mixed into fluffy butter
  • Pipe into centre of mini bundt cakes or spread over banana bread
